TradePoint Customer Advisor

As a Customer Advisor at TradePoint you will be part of dedicated team offering an efficient, reliable and personalised service to our trade customers.

It's all about building relationships and trust. You'll be expected to engage with the trade customer, help them with the products and services they want - when they want it - so that they come back to us time and time again.

For the Trade Customer, time is money. An essential part of your role will be to follow stock management routine and processes, delivering excellent standards and ensure 100% stock availability.

A down to earth attitude and friendly approach as well as a desire and willingness to learn is essential in this role. With those skills you'll hit the ground running.

TradePoint Manager

Reporting to the General Manager at B&Q, you'll be confident, commercially astute and have a real desire to make a difference. Sales focused and target driven, you'll drive a sales culture within your team and take responsibility for ensuring your customers get what they want, when they want it. It's a hands on commercial and selling role where you'll make decisions and get the job done.

Understanding your local trade market and taking an honest, down to earth approach in building strong relationships with your customers will be the key to your success. You'll also have an eye for detail and be capable of managing stock routines and processes to deliver a reliable and efficient level of service.

It's a fast paced and rewarding environment. You'll need to lead and engage your team to deliver sales, profit, stock availability and service level targets and will be measured on your ability to deliver in this competitive market.

You could be working in sales or retail. Or maybe you are working in the trade industry in some other way and have extensive product and business knowledge. Either way, you're ready to take that next step on your career ladder and with your fantastic skills and experience you'll hit the ground running.

TradePoint Supervisor

As a TradePoint Supervisor you'll be confident, commercially astute with the desire to make a real difference. Sales focused and target driven, you'll support the TradePoint Manager in driving a sales culture within the team and ensuring your customers get what they want, when they want it. It's a hands on commercial and selling role where you'll supervise a team to get the job done.

Merchandising

As part of the merchandising team, you'll have a pro-active role in business change and growth by producing customer and operationally focused layouts for all product types.

Responsible for creating logical and visually impacting store design, the merchandising team analyse data to ensure product space is optimised and that the planograms have enough stock to meet customer demand. Working cross functionally the merchandising team ensure they deliver low cost implementation for all new ranges into TradePoint.

Operations

The operations team are responsible for ensuring that all the functions within TradePoint are aligned when delivering change and making business decisions which will have an impact on the store and the customer.

Day to day responsibilities include supporting stores with trading plans, operational issues, setting targets and measuring business performance and contribution.

Acting as the link between the central team and stores, the operations team is heavily involved in shaping the strategic vision of the business and bringing the plans together to deliver and implement successfully and smoothly.

Marketing

The main objective for Marketing is to grow market share through driving awareness of the TradePoint brand and engaging directly with our Trade customers.

Working very closely with the Multi-Channel, Customer Insights and Commercial teams supports our marketing approach. Areas of responsibility include the production of the TradePoint Catalogue and other collateral, Direct Marketing including SMS, Direct Mail and Email, Brand Awareness activities including national, regional and trade press advertising, radio, PR and sponsorship.

You'll need to have a passion for communications and design and a flair for adapting in a fast moving environment.

Commercial

As a key member of the Commercial team you will be responsible for range, product and price in order to drive sales and margin targets.

You will also be accountable for ensuring that the TradePoint catalogue is updated with new products each quarter including product information appropriate for the customer, presented in a way which makes shopping easy.

Working with Marketing, Merchandising and Multi-Channel, you will deliver promotional plans, both in the catalogue and additional offers to help target products to the right trade customer at the right time of the year.
