Framing anchors

Framing anchors are used for anchoring rafters and trusses to plates, floor and ceiling joists to headers, and solid blocking to plates. They are typically made from sheet metal and have prepunched holes to accept nails. Framing anchors provide an accurate and positive connection between wood pieces by allowing the nails to secure the framing anchor to load laterally, rather than in partial withdrawal.
