Scotias and floor trims are a great way to add subtle detail to a newly laid or existing floor. Used around the edges, these thin strips of wood come in many colours and sizes which can be easily cut to size and secured in place using pin nails or adhesive. They can also effectively hide any gap irregularities between the flooring and the skirting board.
