Good, but needs wall fastening

Good looking and strong. Very good alue for money. Not too bad to put together - a few squirts of WD40 helped some bits to slide into place. But IMPORTANT - this product is not sufficiently rigid to stand on its own - it needs to be fixed to a wall to provide lateral stability.
Incredible value for money

This is outstanding for the amount of money paid. Very sturdy and easy to assemble. Havent had any sagging of the mdf shelves like others have mentioned despite having a guaranteed 80kg on the bottom shelf. Some of the horizontal beams did jump out as I tapped others in but that was a mild annoyance, nothing major. Took less than an hour to assemble.
Excellent when assembled right!

this shelf assembles with interlocking flat pegs in metal ridges. My first attempt, I only slotted in bottom pegs, which when finished made the whole shelf extremly wobbly and unstable (probably where it's 1 star reviews come from!) - when you slot in bottom and top pegs, it's solid as a rock! would 100% recommend
5 shelf Steel & MDF Storage shelving unit

purchased 2 off these thinking they would be NUT and BOLT like normal diy shelving they are not you have 2 tacks to slot into slots line up is one thing getting them in to go through top slot then back through the bottom again then tap them home has to be done 8 times per shelve by the time you get a couple in then move on to next on the fisrt ones then FALL OUT taken me 2hrs and gave up and will take the RUBBISH back
Appalling beyond belief

There are two huge problems with this product. The method of fixing the pieces together is all about saving a few pence in manufacturing costs and nothing to do with practicality. Some of the joints slide together easily - and often slide apart again just as easily. If it is necessary to try to manoeuvre them the metal bends. Seriously. The 'steel' shelves bend with moderate finger pressure. I am very experienced (built my own garage, fitted several kitchens etc etc) and this is possibly the worst product I have ever bought.
