Woseful instructions
I bought this item as it looked identical to the one that needed replacing. It looked quality, but what a pain to fit. There were no instructions just a few cartoon images on the packaging. which was woeful. As in some of the other reviews, the key is to loosen off the grub screws so you can separate the 2 handles apart. I didn't use the spindle like screws, I just screw waeach handle on to the door as was done before and it works fine.

Functional
The door handles do what they're meant to do. Easy to install and functional. They are robust. The only issue is that they are difficult to get our of the packaging and there are no instructions on how to remove them.

Complicated
It was impossible to get the plastic out of the handle and spliced my hand on the metal.

Good looking, work well, need fitting properly.
I put these in a previous property and loved the look and the mechanism. I bought them again for my current property. The tenant of the first one phoned months later to say that the bathroom handle stopped working. Random I thought. I then read lots of B&Q reviews that said handles had stopped working. What I realised this time around is that you have to secure the spindle to one handle before you start. If you don’t, the spindle is a short one and as you put the second handle on, you risk pushing the spindle to far in one direction and it not being central to the two handles where the grub screws can grip it. There are definitely tricks you learn doing the first one including getting them out the box (!) bit once you’ve done one, they’re easy. Anyway, I’ve put them in this house and so far, no problems
