Just save up to get a new floor.
The big one works well & you get a good finish after many passes. I really like how it looks now. The issue comes when the paper bag brakes. using a black bag is not a good idea. The house is a dust bowl. Small one is ok. Requires many more packs of sanding paper. Had to buy a corner sander to finish the job. This is one of the very few DIY jobs I have not enjoyed. I wish I had pulled up the floor & put a new one in.

Sanded the floors
We hired it for a week,did two rooms but the edging machine was to robust so had to finish with hand held electric sanders. The dust bags stopped filling, not sure why .Wasn't collected for two weeks.

It’s just so what I required, it did the job I thought it would do. It took effort but definitely lifted all the top layer of wooden flooring
