Great Product but difficult to synch with Remote
NPHerbert - 6 month ago
I've had 2 of these units for a few years and they work well. The only problem I have is once the batteries go flat in the remote controls, having replaced the batteries, I find it impossible to resynch the remotes with the sockets. And guess what, I must have thrown away the instructions! Any clues or ideas please?
Terrible remote battery life

Good actual product, did what I want but the remote drains the batteries even when not used. Batteries more expensive than the unit after a few replacements. I would look for an alternative.
So far I'm well impressed....

Just installed this unit halfway up my garden circa. 25m from house and it's working really well. Did a few tests before install and it worked up to a distance of circa. 40m. If the remote battery life is good then I think this is a real quality product.
Great product but very short remote control batter

I installed one of these about 8 months ago, to switch the lights on/off in the middle of the garden. I installed it in the weather-proof electrical box and it works OK from the Conservatory, some 30ft away. However, I just put the 5th battery in the remote control since I installed it. The battery (A23) is not cheap either. We don't even use it every day, so the usage is not excessive.
Good but shame only 13A

A robust item that's easy to fit. However if used to control 13A sockets then 13A is only enough for one! So you could use much cheaper 13A plug in control units.
This unit is best suited to hard wired applications such as external lighting.
It's good that this uses radio signal (not infra red like tv remote) so it can work through walls. Range will reduce though.
