Using Diall TX flat countersunk 7.5mm steel screws
I used these screws to stabilise a front door casing which was moving, meaning the door was insecure. By first using a 6mm wood drill (to make the initials hole in the wooden casing ), followed by a 6mm masonry drill , the steel screw was screwed home, providing an exceptionally secure fixing with no danger of end brick cracking if a ‘plug and screw’ approach had been used.
