Snug
Snug fit for the pipe with a nut of a size that you can grip to get a tight fit.

Poor plumbing fitting.
Cheap & nasty piece of plastic giving a poor fit which allows water to leak.

Plàstic elbow
Because it fits directs water through a ninty degree angle and whan tighten up in position to both pipes, it doesn't leak.
