Challenging to lay

I have laid click laminate, engineered oak, lvt and tiled floors in the past. This was the most challenging to lay. I purchased 3 boxes and made sure the batch no dates were the same. The first box went reasonably well it's best to layout on another floor to make sure of a uniform pattern. this is where it went wrong. The second box was a different batch from the first a small label on the first box had been stuck over the original label. The pattern of these was switched the tongue and groove were in reverse. We retuned to the Lincoln store luckily enough there were a few batch numbers left. you need to open the packs and make sure there are 6 +6 tiles each 6 the same pattern to achieve the asymmetric pattern. I must give credit where it's due Ciaran Burrows was on duty 14/11/21 he was amazing credit to B&Q very helpful and understanding. Al in all it has taken 12 hrs to do a 4hr job that's not including a 2hr round trip to Lincoln.

Not good for high traffic areas

Looks nice, but I'd generally have tiles laid in hallway/ high traffic areas, but this product isn't suitable for that it appears. Hard to match when u lay it and to me expensive

Reasonable Product

Challenging to lay (compared to other click lock products). But with time, care and focus you get a good result. (Dad, you won’t get whole room done in half a day, that’s not realistic).
LAYING: flat floor, correct underlay etc etc. Study the ‘sliding’ mechanism on one side. Do a dry run, it’s fiddly. Spray with window/glass cleaner, much easier.
Treat the joints with respect and they will be strong.
Cut tiles with an electric jigsaw and fine tooth blade.
PATTERN: the pattern and joint lines are informal, smart but not perfect. Don’t try to get it perfect or you will reach for the gin very early.
QUALITY: well constructed and just
as thick as Karndene (at a quarter of the price) . The top layer seems hard and durable. The joints are less user friendly, but ok with patient handling.
SUMMARY: a good mid-priced vinyl floor that looks good when down. The tile pattern won’t be A1 perfect but most middle England people would be happy with it.

SUMMARY:

I have used Jazy wood flooring tiles and liked it, so bought the mosaic for another room. The pattern may look haphazard, but if you lay it as instructed, you will end up with a nice regular pattern, depending on whether you are offset by 1, 2 or 3 tiles when you start each row. Mine is offset by 2 and you get the pattern shown.
