Its wood
Its a bit of wood, was straight and did what I wanted, cant really fault it.

Good quality and does the job!
I bought this a few days ago as a previous post rot and was splitting. The new one bought from B&Q was easy to find in store, had clearly signed measurements, good value for money, straight and easy to fit! I would recommend to anyone needing one!

Good if you select in person off the shelf.
If you pick a straight one without splits or jagged edges off the shelf, all will be well. I did have to sift through quite a few to find 2 that I was happy with but these are decent. Some of the others were just a bit tattier or had minor issues such as splits near the ends.

Be aware of the measurements
Purchased these posts as it was great value, but the measurements was not correct I should’ve been 70cm Square but after measuring them they 67cm.
