so much more convenient than a tape
The device is accurate and the reviews saying it's 100mm out or that it doesn't take into account the length of the case are just user error. You can press a button to change mode between measuring from either the front or rear of the unit. Of course there are technically superior models out there but this is a basic device that works well, though it could be a bit cheaper.

Good bit of kit
Dont understand all the negative reviews, whether they dont know how to use it or what, but i found it accurate and very simple to use. Use it nearly every day and its bang on.

Poor Quality and Inaccurate
The Instruction booklet is printed in an extremely small font. I had to use a magnifying glass and still had difficulty. The measure itself is grossly inaccurate. Whilst trying to measure in millimetres, the result was shown as a bad guess in metres. I'll stick to a tape measure in future.

Inaccurate
Wildly inaccurate with no apparent logic or consistency to the inaccurate measurements. Move device closer to the surface I'm measuring from and the distance reading increases instead of decreases!

Décevant
La mesure ne prend pas en compte la taille de l'appareil du coup toute les mesures ont été fausses ramener au magasin aussi vite vraiment déçu surtout que ce n'est pas note sur la notice ni aucune prévention du personnel de Casto , je l'es signaler mais depuis le produit est tjrs en vente honteux pour un produit a ce prix là !!

Waste of money
Measures a full 100mm shorter than actual measurement by tape, could have been costly had I not tested it first. Returning it tomorrow. Save yourselves the frustration of buying one.

Innacurate Measuring
Easy to use but unfortunately the measuring is not actually correct?! When you check against a standard tape measure it seems to add c. 5mm, which makes a big difference for certain installations.

Bonjour Dommage que les mesures ne tiennent pas compte de la longueur du produits,il faut rajouter les 10 cm de ce dernier. Notice écrite trop petite.
