Average, lets put it that way

It might be okay for certain jobs but certainly not all. Personally I'd rather go for Bosh or DeWalt.

Great product

Bought this for panelling and it was great. Also good for doors and other woodwork.

Good saw, well worth the price.

Good solid feeling piece of kit, easily adjustable depth and angle of cut. The only initial drawback is the 10 tooth blade it comes with as standard. Flies through rip cuts but delicate it ain't! No big deal though, I just got a finer cut blade after the event.

Recommended

Makita maintains a high quality product. A solid corded entry circular saw with clear user manual, but no storage component.

This product ended my Bosch default

Good: Solid reassuring construction - no bending, shifting or deflection on any surface, but still quite light Very powerful motor - accidentally cut into the metal work bench under the work piece without realising and without any change in performance Guide plate is curved up to allow for minor imperfections - ideal for working with OSB Side guide doesn't bend to a stern look like every other guide piece I've ever used and as such is actually useful Thick/armoured power cord Remarkably quiet for a circular saw Bad: Cut depth adjustment doesn't have a built in measurement guide - only real flaw Hex key holder loses grip a bit easily My experience with circular saws until now was a Ryobi, and while it was good - this is far and a way better in every dimension. My previous default preference for Bosch tools is also unlikely to stand if this is the standard to expect from Makita.

Bad quality

Is expensive for the quality it hold. I don't recommend

Amazing Bit of Kit

Fantastic bit of kit. Used it for cutting decking and I couldn't fault it. I even had a 10 pounds voucher so it was even cheaper.

Nice saw

Wow, what a great little saw. So quiet and cuts great even with the standard blade supplied. I already have a very large none branded circular saw that is noisy and cumbersome to use. I was going to buy a Dewalt as i have some Dewalt tools but this looked and felt better. I am glad i did. I am going to invest in some Makita blades for this as i feel it will be worth the cost.

Great saw

I used this saw to cut through 40mm solid oak worktops. It went through like a hot knife through butter. Took me around 15 minutes to make 5 x 60cm cuts

Great small circular saw, definitely is worth every pound ,
