Avoid
Lasted one day of very light use, soldered two wires together, worked perfectly, a week later I tried it again, it sounds like it's shorting internally, won't heat up enough to even melt shoulder. I should have read the reviews before purchase.

Hard to use.
I find it hard to use as you have to stop using it after 12 seconds. I should have bought a normal solder iron. If you go over the 12 seconds you have to wait a while before it can be used again.

Great product
Having bought other Rothenberger tools, I did not read other customers reviews until after purchasing. I was somewhat concerned by there comments! However I can only presume those reviews where posted by customers who unfortunately had a faulty unit or, they do not know how to use this type of soldering gun! Mine works very well, feels very solid and well constructed! Thank you.

Rubbish
This product is rubbish bad transfer of heat i think better quality tips are needed maybe, going to get my money back. I am experienced at using a soldering iron.

No good
I baught this item today to repace my cheap gun and it is rubish. It does not get hot enough to do the job

Poor quality tips
Has a reasonable amount of heat, but poor quality tips let it down

Very poor heat transfer and melting point
Bought this to solder some 8G wire for RC helicopter batteries\connectors. Very poor. Never obtained heat required and the tip does not allow any where near fine or exact soldering. Reverted back to my trust 20w and all good.
