Heavy duty storage space
Bought as a replacement for a wooden tool store that was falling apart. I can't get away with just how massive it is. It will certainly take a fair bit of filling and allow us to clear a lot of less used stuff out of the main shed. Having the full length built in shelf is an added bonus. Additional shorter shelf and basket sets are also available, but also very expensive, so I will be purchasing a separate low shelving or drawer unit instead. I think it's a bit miserable for the manufacturers not to provide a basic padlock, but I managed to buy a good quality relatively inexpensive one elsewhere. Its doors appear brown in the picture, perhaps due to the lighting, but they're most definitely a dark grey (although still lighter coloured than the rest of it). It is currently still empty because of the weather, so we can't get out to fill it, but it will hold a huge amount. A bonus of the bad weather is that we are able to inspect all it's joints and they have managed to withstand all the rain we've had since it was installed 5 days ago. I will be running a bead of Low Modulus sealant around all the internal joints beforehand, just as an extra precaution. The heavy duty resin material certainly makes the shed appear very durable, with the added bonus of never having to paint it. Having a proper closing mechanism on the door, coupled with using the padlock, makes it seem very resistant against break-ins. We had this installed professionally, with the installer also building a 6x2 wooden frame for it, which is further raised up on feet. Due to this extra height we've purchased a pair of 8" high plastic kerb ramps, to make it easier to run the lawn mower in and out it rather than having to lift it. The frame was anchored into the ground and the shed was anchored into the frame. This adds to its reinforcement against the usual West of Scotland's wet and windy weather, so it's not going to blow away. Overall we're very pleased with our purchase.
