- Surface Preparation - Always check the health & safety info before you begin. Avoid painting in extreme temperatures and damp or humid conditions – it can affect the final finish. Before starting, seal new or bare plaster with this paint thinned by 5% with clean water, or use a dedicated bare plaster paint. Clean surfaces thoroughly – remove grease, mould and dust for a dry, sound base. For previously painted surfaces, wash down, sand well and remove any loose or flaking paint. Fill any cracks, dents or holes with a suitable filler. Prime first when painting bold colours or tackling tricky surfaces.
- Instructions for Use - Stir thoroughly before use. If you're buying more than one tin, mix tins of the same colour to keep the finish consistent. If you're running low, stop at a corner or natural break. Apply two coats using a quality brush, roller or sprayer, leaving 2 to 4 hours in between each coat. Don’t overwork it – avoid excessive brushing or rolling. Bold colour changes may need an extra coat.

Great paint
Used it to paint my home office, I've used Valspar a few times before and as always it was brilliant. Not cheap but it covers well and the finish is excellent. I'm not great at decorating and for whatever reason emulsion always seems to end up looking patchy but Valspar goes on really well and gives a professional looking finish.

Easy product to use and the coverage is very good. Very low odour. Very impressed with the adhesion and very little spatter. The overall finish is perfect.

Good quality paint
This is my first time using the Valspar paint range, The colour paint I initially wanted was from a much more expensive brand, however I thought I’d give Valspar a go as it’s much more affordable. The colour matched with the more expensive brand. The coverage is really nice and thick so a little goes along way, I chose to water it down to make it easier to work with as it is a thicker paint and even then coverage is great. I’ve used it on the multiple different surfaces the adhesion is good and it is very durable on all. The colour is slightly lighter than the colour shown in the tin however so bare that in mind when purchasing but the colour and finish are beautiful, There is no odour with this paint at all, and there was very little spatter. Overall I’m pleased with this paint

Not for me
I wanted to love this but I just didn’t. I was hoping to do a feature wall in my living room but I tried a little swatch of the paint and it dried considerably darker and a bit more grubbier looking than on the tin, and compared to how it looked in the tin it’s self. I was only hoping to use it to cover up an existing cream wall, so it’s not like the colour was dark or overbearing underneath. Sadly it’s a no from me.

Valspar Afternoon Nap
I have always been a fan of Valspar paint, the paint seems to do a few jobs in one. My walls aren't the smoothest, certainly not perfect, yet after 2 layers of valspar they look freshly plastered. Im not sure what magic they put in the tin but it just works everytime. The colour are great, I find 'afternoon nap' very calming and almost a neutral colour so goes with everything. Ive got a messy toddler with sticky hands and found it easy to wipe the walls clean again. Really impressed.

Premium paint at a reasonable price. Great quantity
First of all, wonderful colour. Easy application, only a single coat needed, but obviously depends what you are painting over. Dried quickly with a great finish. Good value for a premium product, the fourth room I’ve used it in now, wish I used valspar earlier.

Even finish and beautiful colour
Beautiful cosy colour that was perfect for my son's nursery. Low odor the dissipates fairly quickly when airing out the room. Dried evenly into a soft matte finish. Would use again in other rooms when we come to redecorate

Only 2 coats needed
We wanted to upgrade our toilet for our children wanted to give it more character and make it fun. This paint totally transformed the room and gave a lovely warm finish, exactly what we wanted . Im so in love with the color, can’t believe what a difference it has made to the room. We haven’t used Valspar paint before but were very impressed by it as it went on our walls so well and only needed two coats to get the perfect finish . Will definitely be looking at different colours for when we paint other rooms.

Oh my goodness I am obsessed with this paint and colour! I’ve been using this Valspar walls & ceiling paint in shade AFTERNOON NAP. I’ve painted my bedroom and the results are just amazing. First of all the paint is thick, creamy and covers the wall so well. I applied two coats using a roller and the Matt textured finish is lovely and gives a flawless result for sure. Most other paints I’ve used tend to splatter everywhere but this did not and I’ve got to say there was no odour, which is a bonus. My room now has a modern but vintage look and theme and I couldn’t be happier. I can honestly say it is one of the best paints I’ve ever used. It’s top quality and I will certainly be purchasing more in different shades to decorate the rest of the house. We are renovating so it’s good to have paint you can rely on and saves time as so quick and easy to use and because it’s such great quality it’s done in half the time. The color is stunning, I’d describe it as vintage green. Stunning shade! Oh and dries quickly too. I’ve got to give it 5 Stars

Good durable paint
Valspar paint is new to me, I have previously used other leading brands of paint usually Dulux. I have limited decorating knowledge but I have to say the Valspar paint has been a dream to use. It’s a good consistency, but does still need two coats as you would expect. The tin itself didn’t need much of a mix when first opening. The colour ‘afternoon nap’ came out better than expected too. The photo doesn’t do it justice. It’s a lovely pale sage green colour. It’s a really nice neutral balancing colour.
