Valspar® Trade Primer and Undercoat has been optimised for use with our Trade Wood and Metal paint. Excellent opacity and hiding power, as well as great adhesion, ensures the surface is well prepared for a professional and durable finish. Apply 1 to 2 coats using a suitable brush, roller or sprayer, if doing a dramatic colour change, you may require additional coats. It covers 15m² per litre, dries to touch in 1 hour and is ready for the next coat in 2 to 4 hours. Valspar® Trade - formulated for the perfect finish.

- Instructions for Use - Stir well before use to ensure paint is thoroughly mixed. Purchase enough paint to complete the job. Apply 1–2 coats using a suitable brush, roller or sprayer. Apply liberally, avoiding excessive rolling or brushing, working from dry areas into the paint’s wet edge. Extra coats may be required when making dramatic colour changes. Dries to touch in about 1 hour under normal conditions. Allow 2-4 hours between coats.

Great product.
Great paint, it was easy to apply and dried quickly. The finish when dry is perfect, it's smooth to the touch and has a very gloss finish.

Too thin, coverage poir
Too thin a make like Farrow and Ball much better , although it's more expensive it's better coverage and where you need 3 coats of Valspar Farrow and Ball is one thus saving time and money.

Great coverage
Generally the best primer i have used for decorating my walls in a new home. Great coverage and opacity, only needed 1-2 coats

Valspar primer
I purchased this product to prime MDF furniture I have built. Very satisfied with the way it went on with a roller and made a sound base for further coats with opacity.

Bad workers blame bad paint
This trade primer is amazing! I've been using valspar (correctly and as a professional in the trade) for years! Can't understand some of these reviews. Some say it's like thick glue, then others say it's like water. Are these reviews actually about the same product???? Stir/shake properly! Try applying with foam roller. Don't keep going over where you just painted, it WILL stick to the applicator (quick drying...duh). I've used this on new wood, old wood, mdf and even over pvc! If used properly, it's just amazing!
