This Verve seed and cutting compost is specially tested and formulated to promote seed germination and rooting cuttings.
- For germinating seeds and rooting cuttings
- Composition - 100% coir, wood fibre, sand, vermiculite, plant fibre
- Before opening the bag, loosen compacted compost. Before use, make sure the contents are well mixed. Take care when watering and avoid waterlogging. Check a few centimeters below the surface of the compost, if it is moist no watering is required. For smaller pots, the weight of the pot is a good indicator of its moisture content. For best results use a liquid feed to maximise flowering and fruiting. When using fertilisers follow the recommended dosing instructions.

I purchased this product to put under and onto grass seeds, the soil was good quality and the grass started growing within a couple of weeks.

Me Muck and stuff
this compost should be more gritty. Seed and cutting compost are two different products, so unusual for them be married up in one bag.

Seed and cutting compost
It's quite good but not as good as it was. Most seeds did very well. Just seems a bit sandy . Aeration cold be a bit better if very wet

Grows its own quicker than your seeds
Fairly fine graded compost so hardly any sticks in it so far. Appears to have pearlite mixed in with it. It consistently has seeds of its own mixed in so there are plants or weeds growing faster than the planted seeds but i guess all peat free compost these days is just peoples garden waste all chopped and degraded

Ok!
Ok! This was recommended to me after complaining to sister that other composts were nit fine enough. Definitely fine and seems good quality but not sure it actually makes any difference to seedling germination.
