Damp proof courses
Damp proof course is a waterproof barrier installed in the footings of buildings to prevent groundwater from being absorbed into the masonry by capillary action. If installed incorrectly or not at all, properties can suffer from rising damp, and this excess moisture can damage plaster, decoration and even cause rot or dry rot. Damp proof course at Tradepoint is made from recycled LDPE and meets European standards.
