The Easy Fit door set is a door and frame, already cut and routered for hinges and latch, ensuring it is easy to fit with no joinery expertise or specialist tools. The hinges, latch and latch plate are included so all you need to do is fix it into the door opening and add a handle. You can replace your existing door quickly and easily, just measure your existing opening to determine which size you require.

Don't buy this
Just get a joiner to do it. We got the wrong door, no latch included.

Good door frame set
Good set that is easy to fit for a moderate DIYer. Only comment would be to supply your own wood screws as the ones that come with the kit round off very easily

Not So Easy To Fit
I have bought a house recently, and a few of the doors need to be replaced. I saw these doors on the B&Q website, and thought I would try one, just to see how easy it is to fit. My DIY skills are low to moderate, so I thought this would be a job I was more than capable of doing. I did all the measurements, but did not think too much about the height as they are all the same height regardless of width. That is where my problem starts. My frame height is 1955mm. Silly me for thinking that it was ballpark for a doorframe. If they had offered a different length door, I am sure I would have looked a lot closer at that measurement. I am sure a normal door could be trimmed to the right height, but these can only be done to 8mm? Even then the instructions only mention trimming the side strips, not the door itself. I think that I will get a joiner to fit some basic doors, because it would actually work out cheaper.

Very Easy to fit
All very simple for very average talented DIY non enthusiast Locally quoted £80- 100 per door to hang normal doors!!! Only comment is that to fit the height of door frame the amount needed to cut off the bottom cuts the entire chunk of wood leaving bottom hollow. If adjusted at top the hinges would be in the wrong position. Lots of cosmetic adjustment required to fill the door frame. Sounds like I am moaning. Not at all They look pretty good

Not as "easy fit" as they claim
Recently bought 7 but all had minor blemishes and/or marks, so a poor first impression. Fitting was less easy than suggested.

Too narrow
I bought this door hoping it make life easy but ended up taking it back and buying standard doors. Nowhere on the packaging does it say how much you can trim it by I needed to phone B&Q who phoned manufacturer for the info. If you need the narrow 683mm door then avoid this product as the additional frames you need to fit make the doorway so narrow it looks silly.

Impressed
I have now fitted 8 of these doors and I am impressed by the overall finish. The only problem I had was using the supplied shims with the side strips. The strip is easily distorted when tightening the screws causing interference with the door. I overcame this by using washers with the screws placing them between the door frame and the strips. I also used long lengths of 3 or 4mm wood strip from B&Q with success.

Rubbish
Delivered damaged and overall a really poor item. I recommend you hire a joiner and purchase a normal door....do not bother with this

Really nice door
Brought 2 of these for my upstairs hallway Managed to fit them single handedly Everything lined up Pleased with finished product, will nowbuy 2 more for downstairs
