Very poor
Bought this to hopefully match up with the letter box shown as often bought together. None of the kit is compatible and there are no useful dimensions online or on the packaging. Packaged so you can’t see fixing dimensions without removing from packets. Very poor quality mis matched letter box components. Give this a miss and buy a complete matched set.

Screws not fit for purpose
The letter plate is fine and looks good. It is a reasonable price. However, the four screws provided to attach it to the door were useless. They were of soft metal and the indent was too shallow so I could not get any 'purchase' on the screw. Had to get new screws in order to attach the letter plate.

Just what I needed
Bought a complete letter box before that was supposed to go through the door, I only wanted to replace the face plate after moving into a new house where the spring had gone so was flapping in the wind. Ideal, and so easy to fit

Rubbish
Don't waste your money started to fall to pieces as soon as I took it out of the packaging flap held on by 2 flimsy rivets which come out very easily

Simple, Basic, Draft proof with strong flap spring
I got this a few weeks ago actually to put on the back of my door - I have a fancy letter plate on the front but didn't like the idea of people being able to look in by lifting the flap or that it was a bit drafty. This letter plate fitted simply over the flap - you can use the two drill through bolts provided or there are holes for just screwing it to the door in the corners underneath the flap. I screwed it in because I didn't want bolts sticking out of the front of my door - it nicely covered the bolts from my fancy letter plate on the front - however I had to cut out a couple of squares of the foam rubber backing (that makes the plate nice and draftproof) so that it closed flush again. Back of my door looks really neat and tidy, letters can be pushed through easily, people can't peep in and it keeps the draft out in winter. Great!
