8mm Aluminium tube
This is the worst piece of tubing I've ever seen. It is certainly 8mm outside diameter and also 6mm inside diameter but the wall thickness varies from 0.5mm to 1.5mm (estimated). It was useless for my purposes as a bush to make a 8mm diameter hole fit a 6mm diameter shaft. What I thought was superficial swarf from the cutting process proved to be the actual tube wall. Moreover, I had no choice because it was the only piece in stock. Because of the hassle it wasn't worth returning it and it may possibly be useful at some time in the future so it went into my stock.
