Cheap rubbish
On first inspection you can tell this is cheap rubbish, clunky grinding sound on use and basically broke straight away. I would say this is a dangerous product as it could leave you locked in, all stocking this nonsense does is push up the price of similar products of a much higher quality made in Britain

Did the job!
I needed a new mortice latch as our current one had broken (crumbled) inside. It was a slightly different size, but with a bit of chiselling it fitted perfectly. It's been in the door for about 4 weeks and still works...so that's a start!!!

B&Q need to employ a mathematician
The instructions on the pack say this will fit in to a 22mm drill hole, but with the mechanism H=21.5mm, width=16.9mm, you need to take the hypoteneuse to calculate the diameter. This will only fit in to a 27.5mm dia hole. The drill bit that wasn't wide enough cost 3 times the price of the lock :(

cheap junk
centre square drive broke (fell apart) with door closed. Before this happened the door rattled when closed or wouldn't latch due to excessive play in the catch. It kind of works but that's about all I can say

Awful product
Couldn't agree more with all of the previous reviews. Thankfully I discovered how 'soft' the metal surround casing was when fitting otherwise my kids would now be locked in the upstairs toilet as well! Off to buy a premium product elsewhere .

Bought these to hang new doors but had to return as they are completely useless. They're cheap and they stick. Do not recommend

Who writes these descriptions?
Apparently everything about this latch is 64mm which is literally impossible, how are you ever supposed to replace something if the person writing the specification has never even seen it and just makes this stuff up as they go along.
