Great product
I recently bought this product to replace a broken latch. Nearest size I could get, a mm bigger in some places to old 1, so tighter fit. All lined up, mechanism works easy.

Easy to fit but poor quality
We went to fit these this weekend, the first one went in fine, however we fitted the second one and the mechanism broke the first time we used it with the handle. Returned.for a refund and bought another brand.

Avoid at all cost
Bought this product last week as bought new doors.. They are awful don’t sit flush and when you close the door it just bounces, I tried all of these and all the same… spend a little bit more for a better quality latch.

Dreadful
As another reviewer has stated, the latch isn’t square with the hole, and it catches, sticks and grinds. This has cost me a mornings work, as I now have to go back and replace them. Shouldn’t be allowed to sell such rubbish, and they aren’t even particularly cheap for a budget product.

Avoid at all cost
I have recently fitted these to the whole house. A week later I am considering replacing the lot. Doors that once closed ok now don’t and I’ll have to file all the plates which then will cause doors to rattle. The reason? Poor quality metal, poor build quality and poor design.

I bought this item about a month ago, it was easy to fit and has worked fine, no problems.

So far so good
It was a little difficult to find ones in the shop without 'rusty' bits/discolouration on. Once I did, they did the job fine.
