Effective Stripper
If the 'how to use' instructions are followed without deviation, Barrattine paint and varnish stripper works almost as efficiently as the older, now banned from sale, products did. Can't comment on Lacquer removal effectiveness though.

Effective Stuff
I was looking for some Nitromors from my local B&Q, and as it turned out they hadn't any on the shelves. So I was left with Hobson's Choice namely to try Barrettine Paint, Varnish & Lacquer Remover. To my surprise his product worked just like the old formula Nitromors paint remover used to do. So it does the job and definitely gets my vote!

paint stripper
very pleased with this item, it did what it was designed for and I was able to trip the paint from my front door with ease. It will probably become my goto paint stripper.

outstanding product
I recently purchased this as I was in need of a miracle, we have recently purchased a café and all the tables were unspoilt wood tops, except 1, baby blue gloss paint, multiple layers of baked hard gloss. purchased this with a heavy heart as was sure nothing would work, how wrong we were, 1 coat of gel and left for 20 mins and 90% just scraped off with minimal effort. the second coat on the remaining 10% and voila! back to the perfect wooden top and you would have never believed it was ever painted. my best find in 2024.
