Useless. Didn’t remove varnish at all.
Waste of money. Tried to remove varnish off an old oak cabinet and it did nothing. I think water based is no good. Get something spirit based.

Terrible!
You’re much better off spending more money and buying a paint stripper with the harsh chemicals! As instructions state, you need many coats to get the paint to lift, but then the paint became sticky and really hard to scrape away. It also made the varnish underneath sticky and the wood has become soft so I can’t sand it properly. Spent hours trying to the remove treacle-like substance from the surface, but the wood is sticky to touch and ruins my sandpaper. The previous 3/4 of my project I had been using a more expensive + harsher paint stripper and it worked so well I barely had to scrape the paint off and the wood underneath was untouched! Really regret using this one and not sure how to fix what has happened :( will be returning what is left.
