This Bemis Phoenix black contemporary toilet seat features a soft close function, meaning that it will close slowly and quietly when put down. The seat is made from moulded wood and comes with Ultra-fix® fixing system & adjustable chrome-plated, tuck-under hinges.
- Compatibility: Most universal toilet pans - Use a 13mm spanner to tighten and snap the bottom portion of the STA-TITE® nuts
- 2 years Manufacturers guarantee
- Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth, using just soap & water, taking care to dry hinges thoroughly. Never use scourers or abrasives as these will damage the product surface, ensure seat & lid are raised when using bleach in bowl

I wish I’d paid attention to the previous reviews. It looked great installed, however has cracked a week later.

Poor quality item
Bought this product 1 year ago and the black has come off in several places and revealed a white base material. Can not recommend that you buy this (not cheap) item.

Broken in 2 months!

Looks good!
I've given this a 4 star as it's only been on 1 day. So I'm not sure what the future holds for this product yet. Installation was easy, stays put very tight. Looks Good as well. I'm hoping mine doesn't crack like the previous poster said theirs did. I don't slam down on the toilet anyway so hopefully should be OK. Also this is not as matt as it looks in the photo. But I was tired of looking for toilet seats so will settle.

Made from MDF and cracks in no time. This is not solid and appears to be wood but the description is deliberately ambiguous.

Really easy to install.
I urgently needed to replace a broken loo seat and found this one was in stock at my local B & Q. It fits well with decor in my bathroom. In the past I have found fitting loo seats tricky, getting the holes the right distance apart and messing with awkward wingnut fixings. This product just about fitted it self. It comes with everything you need and uses plastic nuts that sheer off at the correct tension. Ingenious. I've had it a couple of months now and no problems. Still working perfectly.

Seat will not stay up after just a week of use.
It is a good quality seat and has no movement when fitted, only issue is the seat will not stay up now only after a week of use. Not great for us males. Returning it tomorrow, but can see taking it off the toilet being a hassle as it has a no move mechanism which is great for stability, but can see it not so great for removal. If you have a ladies only home or men don't mind sitting down for a number one it's a winner 👍

Very pleased with this item. Purchased as a replacement for our old soft close seat. Would definitely buy again, highly recommended
