This IP66 13A RCD double socket from British General is supplied in a weatherproof mounting box and ideal for outdoor use. This unit will continuously monitor the supply to any electrical appliance plugged in to it, and cuts the power if an earth current fault is detected, protecting against the risk of a fatal electric shock.

Fine but!
The product itself is fine, but was supplied without installation instructions. It had probably been opened previously. Youtube solved the problem but was an unwanted and time consuming exercise.

Excellent design and well made.
I bought this product as a replacement for my old outdoor socket. It is better quality and was easy to swap over. The closure method is easier and more secure. I highly recommend this product.

BG RCD socket
Always a good brand solid casing , I like the fact that you don't have to screw actual screws in the cover now . Just a simple screwdriver 1/4 turn to secure the cover. Nice easy secure tabs to open & close .

BG 13A gang outside plug
It is worth the upgrade that I chose, better than the cheaper one as it has a cut of switch on it making it safer.

Dual gang 13a outdoor wall socket
Bought about 2 months ago, the pop outs are a little difficult to remove but that gives reassurance that they won't fall out in use, does exactly what it is supposed to do
