Hard as nails
I bought this a few days ago and it's very metallic an very sturdy: it's literally as hard as steel! The dimensions are good about 1 metre long and about 35mm thick. As for thickness, not as thick as my brother but a decent 6mm. I suspect that it might be prone to rust if left in salt water so have painted it despite the fact that it's actually in my study to the chances of being attacked my salt water are slim. I am a tad disappointed it's weight. I was hoping that it would be as light as carbon fibre but sadly it's not. I have given it's ease of use only 3 stars. This is probably due to the terrible Aldi welder and my lack of skill at welding as opposed to the product itself.

Surprise find
I was pleasantly surprised to find a small quantity of such a common material often sold in 6 metre lengths. Doubly surprised as B&Q's instore prices are usually very expensive and I walk out to find whatever I want in the other well known screw and tool outlets at a traction of the cost so this is a first. To be fair B&Q's online prices are much better if you are able to wait a week to get whatever it is. The bar is exactly what it is described as so no complaints at all.
