Perfect Replacement for Old Gate Latch
We only needed to replace the ring on our gate latch after our old one broke but this set did the job perfectly. Whilst we did not need all parts of the set they will come in handy should any other parts need replacing in the future. It might be good to be able to but just the odd part you need, which is why I dropped one star.

Not best quality in relation to old catch but does the job for now

Very Poor Quality
I replaced an old and rusted Ring Gate Latch with this one and it is of very poor construction compared to the one that I removed. It has quite obviously been assembled whilst the paint was still wet and, as a result, both ring handles were totally seized. I had to remove the circlips, scrape out the excess paint, refit the circlips and then grease the assembly before fitting to the gate. Customers should not expect to have to do this. I have been disappointed in quite a few items which are own label brands, but this has been the worst for quality.

I needed to replace our door latch to the garden. This replacement latch was easy to install and looks good.

Don’t buy this
Once unwrapped, became apparent that the paint coating has sealed the moving parts, preventing the outside handle from turning once screwed in place. You can’t tell that without opening it. Screws barely survived being screwed in and out of gate once.
