Not working
The bottom spring where you twist to increase tension the silver piece does not work, it slips so this spring has a flaw... must be defective. Will be returning for an exchange or refund.

This product is useless
Instructions are very bad. Very difficult to fit. Tensioning device is useless. I am taking it back to B and Q for refund.

The product doesn’t work locking plate wrong size
I brought this and locking plates are incorrect size just a heads up for everyone was overpriced and doesn’t work properly would have gave 0 stars if possible

DO NOT BUY
This is the first time in over 30 years I have found it necessary to write a negative review on a B&Q product. Absolute rubbish, screws as expected - useless, but I always deal with that, after all it's to be expected. The gate closer is useless, firstly its a 25mm nut, not every diy'er will have a spanner that size, but easily borrowed if that was the only issue. The bottom nut does not keep the tension as you apply the tension to the top nut and tension jumps off every quarter turn, I presume the manufacturers are relying on the angle of the bracket to lock the nut, well you know what it does not work (would need a spot weld to lock the nut to the bracket) as another reviewer has mentioned the locking piece for the top nut is not thick enough either - totally agree. I would suggest B&Q remove this items from their shelves, it is seriously affecting your reputation. Rant over, closer in the bin, could have taken it back, but not worth my time, enough time wasted already.

Very poorly made product not fit for purpose
Just not good enough. Spring doesn’t hold tension and tension bolts slip through gap therefore rendering product useless

Cheap and useless
Bad design, doesn't hold tension. Cheap metal, esp screws. Instructions on back of packet for a different product. An embarrassment.

How awful... pointless quality
Not fit for purpose.... zinc plate is not thick enough to actually hold the tension in bolt. The bolt itself does not stay solid against the tension and actually gets pushed out f its housing..... utterly awful. How such products can be sold when so awfully unable to meet the very task they are suppose to meet.... is beyond me.

Useless
Unfortunately it's not possible to adjust the tension - the zinc plate that is supposed to hold the tension is not thick enough to prevent the bolt rotating. Will go in bin once I can be bothered to take the useless junk off my gate.
