Best of all Post Spikes
These are a great way to replace a post by reusing the concrete post hole. Digging out the rotten post is not always easy, use a big auger drill to chew up as much as possible first. These B&Q post spikes are unique being galvanised and a great value.

just the job
Bought this as a replacement for a rotten metal post. Didn't need the 2 nuts/bolts with it, as it allowed for expansion of the metal, when I put the post in it

Does exactly what it says on tin
I wasn't sure how deep I could sink some spikes when replacing some fencing so wanted something that was solid but stubby, these did the trick. Poured postcrete into it and around it and they are set.

Mauvaise qualité des soudures
J ai acheté ces embases que j ai scellé dans du béton en prenant soin de laisser les évacuations d' eau bien libre. Après une tempête les soudures de l'une des embases ont cassé en partie, j'ai donc mis une jambe de force en attendant de doubler le poteau et maintenant le problème vient d' apparaître sur une 2eme embase. Ayant été moi même serrurier métallier je peux vous dire que le problème vient de l'épaisseur de la tôle qui forme la partie en scellement et qui ne permet pas d'avoir des soudures suffisamment résistante. C'est bien dommage car cela entraine des dégâts et des frais de réparation supplémentaire.
