Sticks firmly enough in the ground
It fits perfectly with the wood that B&Q supplies. I didn’t at first realise the posts and spikes are not standard sizes, each garden centre has there own size.

hard to ask for assistance when you dont know name
Product fine but moved from gardening section to building section these are at each end of store and both outdoors in the pouring rain

Solid spike for a fence post.
I bought four of these last month. They drive into the ground well and provided the solid base I was after.

Faulty Design
I bought it thinking great reviews. I set the spike in 80mm knowing my wooden post of 75mm. It was perfectto get in. But I didn't realise the poor design with metal cut inside my be to tight wooden post. I was using my old wooden post as it was still really good condition. But after setting metal post and trying to put my wooden post it only went in little bit then design block it. I thought that if I hit from top might woodenpost get fix in metal spike. But it was not possible and I ended up break my wooden post top. I realise that I should have bought another metal spike with nothing blocking wooden post from inside.

Good strong post base
With the right ground - deep earth without hidden rocks! - this post spike was easily hammered into the ground providing a good firm base for my gate post.

Good sturdy spikes
Been outside for quite a while now and have not developed any rust, are quite sturdy and I managed to get them through hard soil in our back garden with the simple use of a piece of wood and a rubber hammer. Recommed these are good

Just the job !
Bought 5 to rebuild a fence. Had 5 x 1.8m posts and 4 fence panels, and these post spikes made the job a piece of cake. Recommended

These are solid posts
1 ) These posts are challenging to get into a ground, you need to dig a hole at least 3ft, then bang the rest of the post into the ground - they can be tough and hard work 2 ) They will only work properly if you use concrete after you’ve got them in The 100mm versions - you don’t need screws to hold the posts in, there are groves that dig into the wooden posts for extra grip. Overall they are impressive, the spikes are a lot longer than you think so prepare for some digging!

Best ... if only choice
I replaced a 70mm galvanised fence spike with one of these red oxide finished spikes. These are a lot more substantial and are the right section to fit a standard 75mm post. I have given 4 stars because obviously have no idea of how long it will last but will be buying a few more.
