Picture hooks fine, pins rubbish!

There shouldn't be much to go wrong with picture hooks but how wrong I was! The pins supplied are just soft steel and can't be hammered into plastered walls. How disappointing. Might be ok with plaster board.

Rubbish Picture Hook Clips

While the hooks themselves are ok, the pins have all the structural integrity of a digestive biscuit. Try to drive them into a plastered brick wall causes them to bend. My solution? Buy a box of cable clips and use the hardened steel pins they come with. Job done!

Unfit for purpose

The nails are too soft for a standard plaster wall, only any good for plasterboard. Numerous nails bent and wasted, in the end gave up and drilled extremely easily into wall to confirm no underlying hard material present. Simply useless cheap rubbish. Would rather pay more for a properly specified product with a hard rigid nail

Good for plaster walls, hold heavy pictures/mirrors

Used on plasterboard

Used on plasterboard and holding great, feel very sturdy.

Not suitable for plastered brick walls

The fixings supplied are far too weak to hammer into a plastered brick wall and bend as soon as you hit the brickwork! Should only be used on plasterboard walls.
