Quality tap, easy to install
Bought to replace a leaking kitchen tap, and decided to spend a bit extra hoping to have a better quality tap this time. We have not been disappointed. We have found the tap itself is made from really good quality materials, especially with it having a ceramic cartridge. The fact it comes with a 10 year manufacturer guarantee gives me confidence it will last. It says it's an "Easyfix" system, and to be fair it basically is. It took longer to get the old tap off than to install this one. Normally we're performing all kinds of Houdini moves to get under the sink and secure the tap but this one is done primarily from the top, fixing by using an alan key to ratchet the bottom upwards and sandwich the unit's top and bottom to the sink. It comes with lubricant for the O rings so the tap slots on top easily and secured by a couple of grubs. Luckily our current isolator valves had the same screw on fixing as the flexible hoses of this tap uses, so easily fitted to those, but it does come with new replacement valves if needed, which was a nice touch. All in all I'd recommend this to anyone with basic or average DIY or plumbing skills, as it does what it says on the box. Easy.

Everything you need in the box
Once I had removed the original taps (absolute pain) the new taps were fitted very easily and love the new taps. The instructions are really simple to follow and I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone.

Good Value and Quality
I bought this tap on behalf of our daughter as she needed a new one in her kitchen. I was able to fit it myself and found that the hardest part was removing the old tap! The Bristan unit came complete with a small screwdriver to tighten grub screws when constructing the tap body and lubricant for the rubber washers at the base of the neck. The flexible input hoses for hot & cold water were of the screw-in type and new isolator valves were supplied with sealing olives to attach to rigid pipes but I found that the existing ones were good so just connected into those. The tap itself is of good quality and works well so should last for years. It has a 10yr manufacturer's guarantee and no registration is necessary. It can be registered with Bristan but only for ease of any future after service queries but I could not find the model name on their site so didn't. All in all I would recommend this tap if it suits your needs. The prise was competitive too.
