Good quality for my needs.
Just right. I haven't used it yet because I have a problem with one of my order's for the sun dial paving slabs.

Avoid at ALL costs
Picked up a bag of this Tarmac building sand from my local store, and quickly realised the quality of this sand is extremely poor. Very difficult to mix and FULL of grit and small stones. Hopeless for laying and the finish looks horrible and grainy. This product should only be used for sharp sand projects. I will need to grind the joints out and repoint using an alternative product. A complete waste of my time and effort.

Dreadful stuff
Bought this an it’s nothing like building sand. As a result, I bought replacement sand from a local independent. I’m slowly using the B&Q sand for after mixing it with sharp sand. Only 800kgs to go!

standard stuff but cheaper elsewhere
Standard ton bags of building sand but 25% more expensive at B&Q than any local builders yard.

Poor quality
Bought this for an extension I’m building. Price is spot on and I can live with the fact it’s brown and not yellow sand however the multitude of stones mixed into it makes brick laying virtually impossible
