Not impressed
Bought this spade, used it a couple of times and it snapped.

I normally call spade a spade.....
...but in this case I'd call it daylight robbery! Without trying too hard to dig something out, it simply snapped making a brittle clap sound. Numerous others on here have reported the same thing, so why on eafrth are B&Q still selling it?

Snapped
As others have reported, this snapped on first use. Bought as seemed like a better quality product as was more expensive. This product is not fit fit for purpose and B&Q should stop selling this faulty item.

Burgon and Ball Digging Spade
I’ve recently begun gardening and was given this as a Birthday present from my parents as they own one too. I have not had a chance to do a lot of digging due to the weather but looking forward to using more as the weather improves. I’m really happy with this spade. It feels a good weight and will look good added to my collection.

More work less effort

Snapped after minutes!
After 3 mins of digging the garden it snapped! I thought for that price it last years

Snapped!
I bought this spade as it looked substantial and said it was very strong. The first time I used it without putting all of my weight on it it snapped in half! Very poor.
