Works perfectly to hold a curtain rail on a wall
Bought this along with a pair of the end caps to hold up a 16mm curtain rail, with heavy curtains and it works perfectly. The bracket is secured to the wall and I've used some lomg screws to make sure it wouldn't come out. Worked for a month so far...

Useless but good quality
Good design and good quality, unable to actually drill into anything because of the placement of the screw holes. The base plate needs to be wider to allow you to get a drill in situ to actually secure it rather than trying to drill at an angle and stripping the heads off your screws.

Hollow base - poor load capacity
The base is completely hollow as it reduces all the way down to the stem diameter meaning it is very weak. It bent and eventually snapped. Suspiciously light too, feels like cheap die pressed PM manufacture process.

Why can't B&Q provide all dimensions for products?
Just got home and it is too long! I needed one to match one already in place and it looked about the same (as no length provided on the product and I forgot my tape measure!). So need to return and look online (why didn't i just do that in the first place)?
