Look good and goid value
I've bought 6 pairs of these handles. They are good value and look really good when fitted.

Well made, good finish
Replaced older version which had a snapped return spring. The finish is good, the handles can lock with a grub screw to the internal bar which leaves a solid feeling

Did the job eventually
Bought this to replace the last one as the springs had gone. Looks good but struggled getting it to fit as the spindle was a little too long and handle just dropped instead of springing back. Luckily hubby managed to reduce the length of the spindle and it then worked perfectly.

Internal door handles
Bought a couple of these for internal doors and not disappointed. Look very classy on doors and we're easy to fit

Looks good but operation a bit stiff
Bought as replacement for handle with broken spring and lock that also broke. Handle screw holes very slightly different but didn't really make a difference to fitting, the central lock was a very tight fit into the existing hole in the door, and the bar joining the handles was also a very tight fit and when wanted to remove handles to paint door it needed a lot of strength to pull the handles apart. It is a pity that B&Q do not test their products before putting them on sale and some small tweaks would have greatly improved this product. However, the handles do look good and it does operate fine, just the handles don't spring back up after use and need a little lift, perhaps they will 'wear in' over time..

Avoid - comedy non latch retracting handles
Outstanding Achievement from B&Q – they have managed to achieve the unimaginable – door handles that might not open your doors. The travel on the handles is limited such that depressing the handle fully won’t fully retract the latch… on a door handle… to open doors… Its an amazing bit of engineering design, somebody had to actually sit down and work that out, paid to do it. It's like they just couldn’t be bothered to check what the thing they were making was meant to do. I bought 5 pairs of these, and they all had the same issue – the washer, retained by a circlip, that limits the travel of the handle has too narrow an arc cut in it. Men on the Moon, the Parthenon, the Pyramids of Giza… and door handles from B&Q. Its not like they were even well assembled – some were greased on the spring and washer, some weren’t some had an extra wafer washer under the main washer to ease travel over the circlip, some didn’t, random and partial assembly of inadequate parts. So, I have spent all afternoon dismantling the old handles and swapping out the correctly designed innards and transplanting them into the new handles, what a waste of time. Buy these if you have a vice, circlip pliers, grease, decent handles to start with and nothing better to do with your weekend than make good someone else’s deficiencies. B&Q – it’s a door handle for heaven’s sake.
