very happy
Our Airbnb had these (PCM52-3-1l) when on holiday, and was impressed how quiet they were when sleeping, had to fit a support beam in my loft (WFH office) to limit wobble/vibration and took a minute to complete the install. Initially wasn't overly impressed and thought my truss beams were blocking the airflow, switched it onto reverse and Wow! a great breeze, just wish i had installed one sooner, comes with handy remote.

Good big fan
Used this to replace exsisting faulty fan (different design ), so was already in a position where screwed into beam. Excellent air flow, Very Quiet. Been up approx 3 months ok.

great ceiling fan
had this installed 2 years ago - don't know how we ever managed without. It has been used all year round. Fabulous. Remote essential.

Modern ceiling fan
I bought this fan 3 weeks ago and an electrician put it up for me. It was straight forward making sure the antenna for the remote was in the right direction to make it easier for the signal. Light is bright though bulbs are not included and we chose a brighter bulb. The remote works well and it has 3 speeds. This should help a lot if we have another summer like this year as it gives a nice downward breeze

Happy so far
So I thought I would write a review to one say thank you and to also rate the fan myself. So after reading about the ticking sound I was quite put off but I read another review that mentioned they had fixed it with masking tape. I have done it slightly differently to how they suggested and put masking tape on the part of the blade that touches the metal, where the blade is screwed in. I had it on all night on level one and didnt hear one single tick so I would say this has worked. I imagine the ticking is because the blades are plastic and what they're fixed to is metal. So thank you for that. Now I never really looked at the dimensions of the fan before buying it, but something I wanted to point out is that's its rather large and hangs quite low from the ceiling so just be aware of that. Other than that though its brilliant, on level one its almost silent and puts out a nice breeze and level 3 is unbelievable. Having the remote fixed to the bedside table is a massive bonus, no more getting out of bed to turn the light off or the fan up and down. Just make sure you do the masking tape trick and you'll be happy.

Makes a ticking noise in use
I read all the reviews on here before buying this fan. I was aware that a lot of people had complained about a ticking noise when the fan was in operation but wondered how bad could it be? All fans make some noise, right? Fitting was straightforward since it was replacing a similar fan that just wasn't shifting enough air for a current heatwave. I tested it quickly and couldn't detect any noise at all so thought "Great!". Oh dear though, that night, after the fan had been on for about 20 minutes and I had dropped off for the first time, the ticking noise began. Not all the time which, strangely enough I could have probably put up with, but two or three times a minute. It would give five or six ticks then stop, then, a few seconds later, it would give three ticks and stop. After this it was like Russian roulette waiting for the next series ticks. It's not even as if these ticks are loud, they're not. But they have this uncanny ability to penetrate your dream state and bring you immediately awake much like a smoke alarm going off! After about three hours I gave up and turned it off - it was the agony of just not knowing when the next tick would occur. It was removed in short order the follwoing morning and returned for a full refund. I guess if you can get one that doesn't tick, or you're deaf, it's an ok fan but do you really want to go through the pain of installing it onto your ceiling only to find out it ticks when you turn it on - maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow, but who knows when it might start ticking ;)

Wobble
No technical info exists if your plastic blades fan wobbles and all mountings are fixed securely They cannot be bent or adjusted and a balancing kit which is magnetic won’t solve the issue either. Has anyone else solved their wobbly dilemma?

Clicking noise - as in other reviews
We have experienced the same clicking noise as described in other reviews. It happens when you lightly tap the blades and of course when it's actually on. It actually comes from the circular desk itself that the blades sit on. Just poor build quality, I think. We returned one unit and the second is even worse! B&Q said they've never heard of this before but it clearly is a known problem. Currently trying to solve it with various tweaks as the fan is good otherwise.
