Really nice rustic look finish

This was exactly what we wanted for our reclaimed wood headboard. Easily applied with a cloth, good covering and fantastic finish.

Colron American Walnut Wood Dye

For years I've have used to Colron American Walnut Wood Dye to restore / improve rifle stocks. I found it used to really sink deep into the wood and gave a lovely rich finish to even the most economic of wood. I ran out of my last can the other day and popped down to B&Q for a replacement. However, it's not the same stuff at all! NOT AT ALL! It doesn't flow like the old stuff or dry as well. It doesn't penetrate as deeply and the finish is diluted requiring many more applications and STILL does not give the same quality of finish. It looks like what it is - an impersonation of American Walnut unlike the old stuff that looked like the real thing. I was really disappointed and have had to completely change the plans I had for my project.

The Two Cherubs - 5 / 5 - 15/11/2017

The Two Cherubs, hand turned sttreet organ.

I purchased the wood dye to rejuvenate the case of a hand turned barrel organ, the dye is the same colour as the case which had faded due to exposure to the elements. It now looks great again!!
