You can apply this wood dye from the Colron Refined range to , using a cloth or sponge, to colour and provide protection. It takes 1 hour to dry.

Not as good as solvent based.
Not very absorbent. Colour not deep enough. Nowhere near as good as solvent based wood dye.

Colour stain
Bought to up-cycle a chest of drawers bought from a charity shop in order to make it match in with other furniture. Lot of work but the final result was well worth it.Good coverage and easy to use. A pity the website doesn't give a tue picure as it said not available in store yet we managed to buy 2 tins easily so we are glad we visited the local store.

Darker than expected the coverage is patchy and I had to sand it off ff!

Good colour
It's a dark good colour. I put on two coats & sealed it with linseed oil. Very pleased with the result. It has come out darker and a reddy tone of mahogany doesn't show through.

Absolute Rubbish
Bought this thinking it was the same as the Colron dyes I’ve been using for year. How wrong I was. It’s complete rubbish - water based junk, more akin to fence paint. Don’t waste your money. Go online and buy Chestnut, Morrells or Dartfords.
