Easy to use

An excellent product. Goes on easily and evenly with a cloth. Wear gloves though.

Nowhere near as good as the spirit based product.

Does not penetrate well, sits on the surface, patchy result

Colron georgian medium oak beeswax

Very dissapointed, our oak flooring was in need of some boosting, so bought this product to bring it back to life. I always used Colron throughout the years but this product is not like it used to be, it didnt cover any scratches or marks in fact it made them look worse. A total waste of 19 pounds. Had to use a staining solutiion to cover the marks, it was Coloron that was in our garage possibly been there for years. Not enough to cover the floor. Will have spend more money to find a suitable product.

water based rubbish

Water based wood stain useless compared to the old spirit based. Wouldn't buy it again.

Unusable

I bought this to finish woodwork in new hallway extension. Turns out NEW “refined” wood dye is completely different colour to older original dye. Also it’s now water based. Have contacted coloron. Awaiting reply.

Terrible result

I was trying to match up to the old solvent based wood dye and thus new water based product is terrible. Nothing like the old stain at all. Never again. I would give it zero if I could.

Not impressed

This product is not as good as the old solvent based product it proceeds. Bought this to freshen up my stair rail, same colour as before however this product is a shade lighter and I don't feel it stains the wood to the depth the old stuff did. The only bonus is your not left with a strong solvent smell, so to that extent they have succeeded.

Wood Dye

Bought this to dye some wood to match my stairs so the i could fit a child safety gate for my grand children. managed to match the colour but could have done with a smaller tin.

Dreadful

Bought this and applied it to an oak wood block floor. The result was disastrous. I have just spent 8 hours sanding it off again. It looked there had been an awful accident. Impossible to use without creating smears. Dries instantly like a chocolate stain.

Not Impressed.

The wood I stained was new, sanded thoroughly, smooth, oil & dirt free and looked perfect. This product highlighted previously invisible imperfections making the job look like a bodge. I will stick to spirit based products in the future and leave the water based stuff alone. The only positive things I can say is that it is quick and easy to use and the absorbtion rate seems slower than spirit dyes making it easier to achieve an even application.
