Flimsy
Really disappointed with the fixing points for this hob .No sort of reinforcement so being tightened down by screws through 1mm thick plate ,so u can imagine how weak that point is, and easily stripped!

Very good
I have this hob a few days now and I must say it is very good. This hob fits nearly all (3) large pots/pans at one go and it doesn't slide off it's place at all. I just found one minus: first left button gets very hot quickly when the biggest gas burner is on on a middle strength. It is a shame that all buttons are aligned to left rather than right side. That is why my review has 4 stars.

Brilliant, seemingly unique design
I am a Gas Safe Registered engineer and have installed many gas appliances including hobs. A few years ago I bought for my new kitchen a Very Posh Lah Dee Dah gas hob which cost over £400. Recently it went wrong and in repairing the fault, some steel screws which were fitted into aluminium castings snapped from corrosion so I replaced it with this model, at about one quarter of the cost of the posh one. The design of this is brilliant: the large burner being at the front and off to one side of the control knobs means that you can have a large pan on that burner plus three other regular sized pans on the other burners, and still work the control knobs. As a gas hob, well they all work don't they? This one however is different in that someone who actually does cooking has designed it. It is so far superior to those that have four burners in a square with a line of knobs taking up space which could be used for heating a frying pan, wok or large saucepan. Also having the large burner at the front reduces the risk of having flames lapping up the side of the pan onto an adjacent wall or cabinet, if it was one of the back burners. I thoroughly recommend this hob. In my opinion it is not only the best hob, it is the cheapest! Or if not, almost :) Steel screws fitted into the cast aluminium burners is a common practice so when I installed this one I put a smear of copper grease on the screws to hopefully prevent corrosion.
