Does not fit

Absolutely terrible design. Love my Helena bath but the panel just doesn’t fit. My fitter had a nightmare. Cut it at back to make it shorter as it seems to be too big. When it pops in clips at dude it pops out front and vice versa. Currently held in place by a piece of wood either side. Just awful.

Does not fit correctly

This bath panel does not fit correctly , almost like it’s too big. You pop one end on the other end comes off.

Very poor didn’t want to give a rating

What’s a load of rubbish so disappointed with this the fittings are poor no thought has gone into the design . It doesn’t fit the bath as front legs cannot be fitted with the panel and you have to cut the panel at both ends so it fits properly. I fit bath for a living, never come across anything so poor.

Absolute nightmare to fit and poorly made

The "instructions" seem to have been drawn by a 5 year old with a crayon and tell you nothing at all about how to fit this. There are wooden blocks under the rim of the bath that aren't flush, so the clips sit hidden where the panel can't engage with them. Requires you to mess about with shims to get them to work. The 2 support legs for the front of the bath are shorter than the height of the panel at their longest extension (think about that!), so more shimming required. Perhaps you are supposed to fit some of the clips on the floor (as I said, no instructions as such) which requires the bath to be at the precise required height, yet the panel isn't actually consistent in height. The pipework manifold for the spa thing sticks out, preventing the panel from fitting flush. All the while, this thing is flimsy and just comes wrapped in polythene, so the gorillas who delivered it started a tear where you'd expect (top of one of the corners) which doesn't want to be allowed to grow. Wielding this in the confines of the bathroom while you mess with shims, clips, screws etc is not my idea of fun. The concept is poor and the manufacturing is sloppy. I'll probably have to waste more hours of my life coming up with some other means of mounting this - it's the worst I've ever come across by a long way.

I am a professional carpenter for over 40 years. OK I'll describe my panel, 1st my back wall and floor are perfectly plumb and level, but my panel won't sit flush at the bottom front after final installation due to the manufactures mould, I didn't use a silicone sealant on the bottom (for esthetics) as my floor and back wall are tiled and sealed in entirety. For an easy install, get 3 of the installation clips, pilot drill and install them tight to the backing block at the far back corners and one at the front center, go back and unscrew them to allow the panel to be held in place temporarily as you'll have to scribe the panel to the back wall. This panel does not fit perfectly flush to the bath, (my particular panel required a 6/7mm lip around the bath), slip your panel into the clips at the back corners, don't force it into position as you'll have to remove it after scribing! You should be able to determine how much either side requires reducing by the parallel at the front (remember you should have a 6/7mm lip protruding from the bath surround). Scribe the panel (take you time as you might have to scribe it twice), place the panel on a drop cloth, remember to wear a mask and carefully cut the panel with a hack saw blade or a dull coping saw, dress it with a sharp block plane and sand this edge with a sanding block, if you have to cut it twice, clear the cutting remnants from the drop cloth ensuring that you don't scratch it on the second cut. Once you satisfied that you have a continuous 6/7mm lip (perfect parallel) install the remaking fixing clips, tight then slacken them off an install your panel, I didn't use them on the bottom as previously stated the mould of my panel wouldn't sit flush on my level floor., white silicone the panel at the 6/7mm lip and to the back wall and allow to dry, once dry your panel isn't going anywhere and will sit rigidly in place. Incidentally my Helena bath wouldn't go in level all the way round, we could only get the tub level length wise, we had to drop it 5mm below level to get the panel to fit, this wasn't a major issue as it helps with the drainage. GOOD LUCK, sincerely hope this takes away the frustration for your install, it will look amazing once finished.

A 4 year old could have designed it better

Looks gook in the brochure. Looks good when delivered. Then you try to fit it with clips that have taken no thought and must have cost a few bottle tops. If you want a bath that every time you fill with water the bath panel falls off, that's if you can get it to stay on in the first place, then this is the product for you! I have scored this product 1 Star because you cannot score 0 or negatively!

Great curvy lines

I had read bad reviews about this bath and bath panel but couldn't find one I liked more so bought it anyway. When the plumber first fitted the panel he had fitted it with a protruding ledge but I phoned him up and explained it should be flush for a smooth curve so he came straight back trimmed and fit it perfectly. I expect the other bad reviews are more about the installation than the product, I'm very happy with this panel just make sure you explain to the fitter how it should look!

A disappointing purchase

Unlike the model we saw in store and on website catalogue pictures, our bath panel did not fit flush with the bath, leaving a significant overhang where the panel juts out in a 'ledge' below the top of the bath. This really spoils the clean lines of the suite. If you want a good finish, do not choose this bath panel.
