It's a fuse
I was struggling to find such a small amp fuse. But it came up bq sell them and had them in stock but works bit expensive for what they are.

Four Plug Fuses
What a great purchase! I needed these to make an appliance work. Put one in the plug and switched on. The result was electrifying.

Why packs of two?
It works. It's the first 1 amp fuse I've had to buy for years. Packs of two are unhelpful. Either sell them singly or in bigger packs, eg five, which won't get mislaid, so we can share them with friends and family. Also took 10 minutes to get through checkout as it's so light it wouldn't work the scales. And had to pay by credit card. What a performance!
