Very pleased with the quality. Required three coats to achieve a nice, rich colour but that’s to be expected. Having seen (frankly) terrible reviews for some on the Ronseal products, I am please I paid the little extra for Cuprinol.

It doesn't do what it say's on the tin I painted my fence last year with Cuprinol 5 year DUCKSBACK, my fence panels this year have all lost their colour, which means I will have to paint them again.

Bought 4 tubs of this product to paint my fence panels and gate, which I painted on Friday the 26th July 2019 (the hottest day this year).

Yesterday (Saturday the 27th July 2019), to my “horror”, I noticed that the rain was washing away the paint from the newly painted fence panels and gate, which I had painted on the previous day.

In view of the above, I have always purchased Cuprinol products, due to the fact that if you want the best product for a good job, then Cuprinol is the brand of choice (i.e. in terms of range of colours and because the applied product lasts longer than any other brand available). Having said this, why is it that on this occasion, the applied paint has washed off after only one day?

Recently bought 7 new rough cut fencing panels so I thought I'd try the Cuprinol Ducksback as I like the idea of paint being wax based. I opted to apply the paint with a large fence brush and a smaller 1 inch brush for the tricky parts. The paint goes on very well. If you just want the 'stained' look then one coat should suffice. However I wanted a darker green and therefore applied a second coat. This takes time....around 20-30 minutes per fence side, so one fence panel can easily take an hour. In the summer with hot weather the paint dries very quickly as to be expected. What I didn't expect was how much paint I'd actually use! I'm now on my third 9 litre tub and I'm half way to finishing the second coat. That's fine though because I want a good covering to protect the wood. Can't comment on the paint performance but hoping for good results.

Great and MUCH better than Ronseal

After struggling with the watery rubbish that is Ronseal, I checked the reviews and found this product. SO much better, doesn’t just run off like water and gives a really nice even finish. Highly recommended. :)
