Very effective but a bit pricey
NOTE All Ducksback products are recommended for *rough cut* timber only. On smooth planed wood the paint is not absorbed so well and soon wears off, especially on horizontal surfaces - my early mistake some years back. Use Cuprinol Fence Life for smooth planed. To get the proper waxy water-repellent finish on an unpainted traditional interleaved fence panel you will need three coats - the first pretty thick. A five litre tin will cover about 2.5-3 brand new 6x5 panels with three coats. Repainting = 2 coats but you may get away with one. I find it lasts about 4 years but that is west facing in a higher rain area. Very effective product a bit pricey. I also use the Forest Green. I find both the green and the cedar dry darker than appears in the tin.

Excellent product, covers really well
Bought the Ducksback paint recently to paint my long and high fence. The paint goes on easily and it covers really well. I love the colour, very smart. Will be some time before being able to say how long it lasts. The paint is guaranteed hopefully will not need to test this out

Good consistency, coverage, pleasant to use.
A 9 litre tub is proving ample for a new 6x8’ shed inside and out. I was originally going for more muted garden colour but we liked the colour of our new shed and decided to match it with the paint. Initially Rich Cedar looks very orange on opening the tub but it has muted down as it’s dried. Lovely paint to use; I have managed not to get any on me or my clothes despite loading the brush and applying liberally. Looking at our newly painted shed from the house it does look brighter than I originally intended, but I’m surprised to find I really like the colour, as do the rest of the family!

I bought this thinking it would be good quality paint how wrong I was I've had to paint my shed 4 times with this paint good job I bought 2 of them soon as it rains out washes off there isnt an insulting word strong enough to give this paint un impressed looking for another product
