Really easy way to paint a fence.
I was 5 hours into painting my fence when I ran out of paint. Headed over to B&Q to get more and saw this sprayer. The paint for it was the same price as the stuff I’d been using to do it by hand so I decided to give it a try. Completed the rest of the fence in half an hour. Did another coat the following day and that took an hour. Wish I’d done the whole thing with the sprayer rather than wasting hours of the one and only life I’m ever going to have brushing paint on a fence. It was really easy to use, with the pump. Simple and not messy to refill and then empty and clean after use. The end result looks great. It said one coat on the tin, but really did need two. However, it was so simple and speedy to do that I would have been annoyed if I only got to do one tbh. There was a small incident where I didn’t realise how far the speckles would go and so had to replace my neighbours bed sheet as I accidentally painted that too. So check what’s on the other side of the fence before you start spraying!

Although every thing looks fine, I haven’t had a chance to use the sprayer yet because of bad weather conditions.

Great piece of kit
Yes, there are reviews which don't have good words to say about this item, but i found the sprayer to be perform exceptionally well, had no blockages, simple to use, and had the fence painted in much less time than i would have done had i used a brush or roller. I recommend this item for sure and so pleased that i ignored the bad reviews. In a nushell, this is a great piece of kit.

Worked perfectly
Bought this and thought it wouldn’t work based on past reviews. Worked perfectly for 200 foot of hit and miss 6 foot fence. I even cleaned and used again the next day to complete the fence. Read the instructions and attach the hoses and screw bolts correctly along with the black pipe washers placed at the connections and should have no issues, Make sure and use plenty of pumps and buy a funnel to pour the paint as this is a messy process without one. I used ronseal fence life plus medium oak. 5*,s in the face of popular opinion.

Bad luck
Have used fence spray pumps for work. But this products worse the worse, thick spray, more paint usage, ended up having to purchase another black ask Cuprinol fence paint.

Better than the reviews
I had no problem, mixed the fence spray for a long time, minimal clogging and did about 10 panels in an hour. I was hesitant because of other reviews but it worked well for me

This is a con. Simply useless.
You’d be better off painting with a brush and good paint. The time you’ll waste clearing up the mess this makes, and the amount of coats you need to do because it’s so watery, leaves it with more cons than painting normally, you’d be quicker using a brush. The paint we used was Harvey brown it’s extremely orange, annoying you can’t get samples to try first too.

Fantastic time saving bit of kit
Ignore the reviews about squirting like a water pistol. It did this with me the first time because I hadn't pressurised it enough. When pressurising use two hands and pump till really hard till hard to lock into place, that's the key. Paint doesn't go that far so maybe double your quantity, overall excellent. I did 15 fence panels in 2 and a half hours .

Life changing kit
After many years of sticking to using a paint brush I invested in one of these sprayers to paint a 50m section of bespoke sawn timber fencing. I found it straight forward to assemble and tested it first with water for leaks which I found there to be none. Easy to decant paint into and to clean up after. It covered the 50m on both sides in no time with all its nooks and crannies including where the fence was rabbit proofed with chicken wire. Two tips - the sprayer takes a full 5 litre can of paint and no more so make sure the sprayer is empty before refilling. Secondly keep checking that the hose connector to the bottle doesn’t unscrew as you move about or it will come off and create a right mess! Great kit!
