Best undercoat
Great product easy to use gives a good finish ready for top coat.

Good primer & undercoat for bare wood
I bought this mainly for my bathroom refurbishment, to prime & undercoat the new wooden skirting boards, bath panel, door frame & architraves, and panel door. It's best to sand the bare wood lightly before applying & brush off the dust, to get a smooth finish. The product is quite thick, so it has some gap & crack-filling ability. It absorbs quickly into the wood, and dries within an hour or two, to produce a smooth finish. It's best to sand lightly before applying a second coat, and you should get a really smooth surface for applying the top coat. This product works really well, although it's a little pricey. But it does produce a really nice surface for the top coat paint.

Great Base to work with
I had had a new door fitted recently and needed a good product to prime the. The Dulux Trade Primer and Undercoat was perfect for the job. It needed 2 coats - the wood was dark. But have now put on the gloss coat and it's looking good.
